Meet Our Coaches
Manny Freitas, Director of Golf
Manny has been a part of the San Juan Oaks team since its inception in 1996. He has held numerous positions with the club such as Assistant Golf Professional, Tournament Director, Director of Marketing, and Assistant General Manager. He has been the Director of Golf at San Juan Oaks since July 2009.
Although he focuses on many different aspects of the operation at San Juan Oaks, he really enjoys coaching and working with people to achieve new levels enjoyment and awareness in their own game. Manny has played competitively as a junior all the way though to college, but now gets more enjoyment from playing with members and friends. Manny has a unique way of sharing his own experiences in the game to his students. Sometimes students end up taking more with them after a session then just awareness to golf. Manny has written articles for publications such as Out & About Magazine and The San Juan Star.
Manny enjoys working with golfers of all skill levels and especially juniors to help grow the game. Manny’s goal is to generate excitement and joy to everyone who plays the game.
Manny is a long time resident of San Juan Bautista and now currently lives in Hollister.

Scott Adams, PGA Head Golf Professional
Scott joined the teaching staff at San Juan Oaks in October of 2011. Scott has been a PGA class “A” member since 2006. During his time in the PGA he has had the opportunity to work at some of the country’s best golf courses. Most recently Scott was the Head Golf professional at CordeValle Golf Club in San Martin, Ca from 2004-2008.
During Scotts career he has worked with numerous PGA golf professionals. From 2005 PGA national teacher of the year Peter Krause, to assisting David Leadbetter with his clinics at CordeValle Golf Club. Scotts approach to coaching is a very open and un-complicated one. He believes simplicity is the key to consistency. Scott really enjoys working with golfers of all abilities, and with his fun, and light approach it is just as enjoyable for both the Coach as well as the student.
